Enjoy a working holiday!

Greater Shepparton is the nation's leading fruit and vegetable processing centre and is known as Australia's food bowl. Some 25 per cent of Victoria's agricultural production is generated within the region, including 70% of Australia's pears! Peak harvest season is from late January to early March, with shoulder periods December and April. It is advisable to ensure work is available before making your way to Greater Shepparton.

The Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre is not able to offer advice about employment in harvest labour, however you can obtain more information from the harvest office Shepparton, provided by the employment service MADEC.
