The Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre is your first stop for information on things to see and do and where to stay while in Greater Shepparton. Our friendly staff and volunteers have the expert knowledge to make your stay in the region a memorable one.

The Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre provides quality information and brochures on accommodation, attractions and activities in the Greater Shepparton region.

The Visitor Centre is the only accredited Visitor Information Centre providing visitor information and services for the Greater Shepparton region (including Mooroopna, Tatura, Murchison, Dookie and Merrigum.)

Bringing our region to life

Our experienced staff will give you the type of information that only a local who knows and loves their own backyard can. We can tell you where to go, what to see and do, and give you our own gems of information and first hand experiences - bringing our region to life.

Our professional team can also help you with sourcing your accommodation. We have a vast knowledge of the accommodation properties in the region and can help you make the right choice for your stay.

If you are chasing a souvenir of the region, the Visitor Centre stocks a wide range of Greater Shepparton memorabilia in our Gift Shop including souvenirs of the MooovingArt public exhibition, local produce and Australiana gifts.

Parking

  • On Street Parking: Free 30 minute parking on-street is available on both sides of Nixon Street outside the Visitor Centre.
  • Long Vehicles: Nixon Street (south side between Wyndham and Welsford Streets; Marungi Street (west side) (across from War Memorial); and Nixon Street West end (Goyen Reserve).
  • Off Street parking: There is free two-hour parking in Welsford Street opposite the Council Offices and free all day parking in Marungi Street at the rear of the Council Offices.
  • Disabled Vehicles: Outside Council Office on Welsford Street; in carpark at rear of Council Offices (enter off Marungi Street); and in Nixon Street between Wyndham Street and Maude Street.

If travelling along the Midland Highway (Bendigo-Benalla) - turn at Wyndham Street and head north 2 blocks, turn left onto Nixon Street (Queens Gardens) where you will find us on the right.

If travelling the Goulburn Valley Highway/Wyndham Street (ie. coming from Melbourne or Tocumwal) - turn at Nixon Street (Queens Gardens) head east and you'll find us on the right.
